ONE GIRL – EDUCATION CHANGES EVERYTHING
More than 60 million girls around the world are not in school.
One Girl is on a mission to educate 1 million of them.
It’s not okay with us that an 11-year-old girl can be sold to a 55-year-old man in the name of marriage.
It’s not okay that a 12-year-old girl is forced to sell herself in a brothel to earn money to survive.
We want to do something about it.
Education changes everything.
Affirmations Publishing House has been supporting girls at the Tibetan Children’s Village, Dharamsala for just on 10 years. So far two of the girls have made it all the way through school. Both are now making a mark on the world, one in America!
But this young Cambodian girl is very special to all of us. Phan Srey Leak is 13 and she is in grade 6 at Krang Snay Primary School because of our sponsorship of the Cambodian Charitable Trust. We believe that by sponsoring Phan in education, it will help transform her life and will help contribute to breaking the poverty cycle in Cambodia.
